Summer vacation begins!

Shakki

Tänään mä pelaan shakki iso shakkinappulan kanssa. Ehkä mun pitää oppia miten shakki on pelannut koska mä pleaan huonosti. Onneasti että ei ole tarpeeksi aika.

今天用大的棋子下棋.

Today we played chess with the large chess pieces. I discovered that one is supposed to plan several moves into the future. 

Pippurihärkä leipä

Se on herkullinen. Mä pidän tumma leivästä

很好吃. 我蠻喜歡這些黑色的三明治.

I really like these dark bread sandwiches.

Kirjaston kirja

Mä en voi kirjoitta tällä kirjalla koska se on kirjaston kirja. Sen takia mä käyttää värikästä paperia.

因為這是圖書館的書, 我不能在書裡寫東西所以我用這些紙條.

This is a library book. It is often considered to be bad taste to mark library books. Therefore I used these colorful sticky tabs instead.

Minun pitää palata kirja ja ehkä kirjaston työntekija eivät halua että kirjallä on paperi. Nämä ovat kaikki värikäs paperi jota mä oon käynyt.

我認為圖書館裡工作的人不太想要看到這些紙條所以我今天需要把他們都拿掉.

Unfortunately, I don't think the librarians will be very happy if I leave these in the book so I took them out today. It's actually quite a big pile of colorful tabs.

Minusta tämä on paras lentosali tähän mennessä. 

我覺得這是到現在我看到最好的教室.

Oh look another new lecture hall. I think this is the best one yet.

Toinen voileipä

Mä olin surullinen että eilen ei ole tumma leivän voileipä. Mutta minusta tämä tavallinen leipä ei ole huono.

這個三明治不是用黑色的麵包做的. 可是還算不錯.

Yesterday they didn't have any sandwiches made out of dark bread. However, I think the normal bread sandwiches are okay.

Salaatti ja hedelmat

Yliopistossa salaatissa on joskus heldmaa. Ehkä se on tavallinen tapahtu Suomessa. Tänään salaatti oli kaali ja melonia.

在學校餐廳裡常常見到水果在沙拉裡. 不知道這是不是芬蘭人的習慣. 今天的沙拉裡有高麗菜和西瓜.

I often find fruit mixed in with the salad here at the university restaurant  I wonder if fruit is considered a common salad ingredient here. Today's salad contained cabbage and melons.

Uusi kahvileipä

Tämä on valkosukla kahvileipä.

這是白巧克力做的.

A white chocolate doughnut.

Tämä on toinen uusi luonto huone.

This is another one of our new classrooms.

Kala päivä

Tänään lounas on kala.

今天午餐是漁.

Today's lunch was fish.

Uusi luentosali

Tämä sali on aika mielenkiintoinen. Korokkeen edessä on oulun yliopiston merkki.

這個教室滿有趣. 講台前是我們學校的標誌.

Our new lecture hall is quite interesting. The podium has the university logo on it.

Aamuna yliopistossa

Minusta tämä on aika taiteellisen kuva.

我覺得這張照片滿有藝術感.

I think this picture is pretty artistic and stuff.

Pullat ja donitsit

Yliopiston ravintolassa on paljon pullia ja donitseja aamuna.

學校的餐廳有很多甜甜圈.

Look at all the donuts the university cafeteria has for breakfast.

Miksi yliopiston ravintolassa on niin paljon outoja salaatteja

Porkkanaa, sipuleitä, jalapenoja, kaalia, ja oliiveita. Namnamnam

紅蘿蔔, 洋蔥, 高麗菜, 辣椒, 和橄欖. 廚師是誰?

Carrots, onions, jalapenos, cabbage, and olives. Omnomnom. But seriously, who comes up with these?

Hyvä paikka yliopistossa.

Tämä on hyvä paikka. Tässa voidaan lukea ja nukkua.

這裡是好的念書的地方.

This is a nice place for reading and other activities.

Mä pidän valosta.

我很喜歡這些燈.

I really like the lights.

Uusi kirja

Mä on lukenut uusi kirja. Nimi on Humanizing the Web. Mä tapasin eräs kirjoittaja viime viikolla ja hän on Professori Oulun yliopistossa. Minusta kirja on tosi mielenkiintoinen. Mä suositelen tätä kirjaa. Nyt mä oon palauttanut kirja. Jos on Oulussa voi lukea myös kirjastossa. 

我念了這本新的書. 名子是 Humanizing the Web. 作家都是這裡的教授.我覺得這本書很有趣. 我建議大家念念看.

I read a new book called  Humanizing the Web. Both of the authors happen to be professors here at the university and I happen to have met one of them. He was a very nice guy. The book is also very interesting. I recommend reading it.

I found the cacti!

Se on hyvä että nyt ne ovat nyt lämpimämmässä paikassa mutta mä luulen että kaktukset lumi edessä on tosi outo näky.

它們班到比較溫暖的地方. 可是看到有仙人掌在雪前面是滿奇怪的畫面.

I'm very happy to see that they have been moved to a warmer place. However, it is quite strange seeing cacti  in front of snow.

Toinen outo salaati

Sisäällä on porkkana, kaali, appelsiini, maustekurkku, ja kevätsipuli. Mutta nam!

裡面有紅蘿蔔, 高麗菜, 橘子, 醃黃瓜, 和蔥. 可是還不錯!.

This salad was carrots, cabbage, oranges, pickles, and spring onions. Nomnomnom!

Laskiaisen lounas

Laskiaisesna syödään hernekeittoa Suomessa. 

聖灰節時芬蘭人吃豆子湯.

Pea soup is eaten in Finland on shrove Tuesday.

Suomessa syödään myös laskianen pullaa. Tämä on yliopiston ravintolan laskiainen pulla.

Shrovetide buns are also eaten. This is the shrovetide bun offered by the university cafeteria.

Arkkitehti yhtiön pöydät

MBA ohjelmassa joskus tekemään töitä projektia yhtiön kanssa. Yksi yhtiö oli Kanttia2 joka on arkkitehti firmi Oulussa. Jos tarvitaan arkkitehtia, voidaan käydä Kanttia2:n nettisivussa. Nämät ovat pöydät ja tuolit jotka ovat Kanttia2:n muotoilu.

我們MBA班有時候會幫公司作工. 這些公司之一有一個建築公司叫做Kanttia2. 如果需要設計時的話, 可以上它們的網站. 這些桌子是它們設計的.

In the MBA program, we sometimes do projects for companies. One of these companies was the architecture firm Kanttia2. If you are looking for an architect, why not take a look at Kanttia2's website? They designed these stylish tables.

Aikaisemmin ei ole pöydät siellä. Mä olin surulinen että ei kukaan käyttää Kanttia2:n pöytiä. Mutta ny mä oon löytänyt että joka on syönyt jotakin pöydällä! Jee! Toivottavasti enemmän ihmiset voivat käyttää.

已前, 這裡沒有什麼桌椅. 現在有Kanttia2設計的家具. 可是沒有人在用. 我很高興看到有人在這個桌上吃飯. 希望以後跟多人會用新的桌子.

There weren't any tables here previously but when the Kanttia2 tables arrived, no one used them. This made me kind of sad. I was very happy to discover these crumbs on one of the tables. Hopefully more people will use the furniture.
